Party discipline does not tolerate anyone, any violations.
According to Mr. Tran Viet Hoan - former Director of the Uncle Ho Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, disciplining officials is a very necessary lesson for our Party to prepare personnel for the 13th Congress.
On the afternoon of May 5, the Central Inspection Commission issued a communiqué at its 35th session in Hanoi (April 24-26). The conclusion clearly stated that the violations of Mr. Vu Van Ninh - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Prime Minister; Admiral Nguyen Van Hien - former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the Central Military Commission, former Deputy Minister of National Defense were serious enough to warrant disciplinary action.
Party discipline does not tolerate any violations.
Following the conclusions of the Central Inspection Commission on the mass media, Mr. Tran Viet Hoan - former Director of the Uncle Ho Relic Site at the Presidential Palace emphasized: "This is also proof that Party discipline does not tolerate any violations. Thus, the work of preventing and combating corruption and degradation in the Party rectification process is being done very seriously by the entire Party, in accordance with the Party's will and the people's will.

Through the cases of disciplined officials in the past as well as the proposal to handle some officials this time, I think this is a very necessary lesson for our Party to prepare personnel for the 13th Party Congress. People hope that the Party will find people with enough virtue and talent, not burdened with individualism, people who are truly respected and trusted by the people to shoulder the responsibility of the country and the people" - Mr. Tran Viet Hoan said.
Quoting General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong: All evil and corruption originate from individualism. If we do not defeat and wipe out individualism, our Party cannot be clean and strong; it cannot be a true revolutionary Party, devoted to the country and the people. Mr. Tran Viet Hoan said that this is also an order and the work we are doing to maintain the people's trust in the Party.
“In every era, in every society, if officials are honest, the people will be happy, if officials are corrupt, the people will suffer, the country will be in danger. That is a historical lesson that never gets old" - Mr. Tran Viet Hoan said and emphasized the need for strict punishment, the right person, the right crime, timely detection and immediate handling of violations.
Along with that, the lesson of screening cadres must be raised regularly, not just because of the position that they stay there forever, even until the end of the term.
Putting public land management at the center
Recently, the Central Inspection Committee has concluded that many officials have committed violations related to the management and use of public land.
In the conclusion of the 35th meeting, Admiral Nguyen Van Hien - former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the Central Military Commission, former Deputy Minister of National Defense must take responsibility for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee Standing Committee; bear primary responsibility for the violations and shortcomings of the Service and personal responsibility in the management and use of national defense land.
Where does this common denominator come from?
Mr. Dang Hung Vo - former Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment said, according to the previous subsidy mindset, land had no value, so when "throwing away" a little land, it seemed to be considered normal.
Only now have we realized that public land is valuable, especially in "golden locations" that bring great value, which also means that a large source of revenue for the State budget has been wasted for quite a long time.

“We have realized and clearly seen the value of public land management is very important. I think that awareness also needs a certain process, especially when shifting from a subsidy mechanism to a market mechanism,” said Mr. Dang Hung Vo, emphasizing that cases of loss of public land value, misuse of public land, or use of public land for personal gain... have been and are being disciplined, which is a very good signal to strengthen people's trust in the management of State assets.
“We welcome the Central Inspection Commission’s disciplinary action against senior officials involved in violations in the management and use of public land. This is a very encouraging sign. With political determination that there are no forbidden zones and no tolerance for anyone, any central or local official who commits violations in the management of public land, causing loss of state assets, must be strictly and appropriately punished,” said Mr. Dang Hung Vo.

The former Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment said that the disciplinary action against senior officials this time is also a testament to the need to amend the Land Law and put public land management as a focus.
Along with that, the responsibility for managing public land must be strengthened more closely, and individual responsibility must be more specific to increase State revenue from the value of public land.
“People are very happy that the Party and State are conducting internal audits and imposing appropriate discipline, with no forbidden zones for officials who commit mistakes and shortcomings. If this work continues, we will achieve even greater achievements,” said Mr. Dang Hung Vo.
