Disciplinary action against many officials involved in the leak of civil service exam questions
Regarding the leak of civil service exam questions in Ca Mau province in mid-2017, the Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau province has just issued an official document announcing disciplinary action against eight people involved.
The Ca Mau Provincial Inspectorate has disciplined two officers of this unit, Mr. Le Tan Thuan, former Deputy Chief Inspector of Ca Mau Province; and Mr. Le Thanh Tuan, Deputy Chief of the Inspectorate Office. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Truong An, Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Department, Office of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, was disciplined with a reprimand.
Also involved in the incident were Mr. Phan Van Nam, Deputy Chief of the Office of the People's Committee of Ngoc Hien District, who was criticized before the collective; Mr. Tieu Truong Son, Party member of Tan Long B Hamlet Party Cell under the Party Committee of Tan Dan Commune, Dam Doi District, had his exam results annulled and was disciplined with a Party warning.
In addition, other related individuals such as Mr. Do Thiet Giap, a contract employee of the Provincial Inspectorate; Mr. Tran Quoc Nen, an officer of the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ngoc Hien district and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khai, a contract employee of the Inspectorate of Nam Can district all had their exam results canceled and their labor contracts terminated in November 2017.
The incident originated from the afternoon of May 27, the 2017 Civil Service Examination Council in Ca Mau province decided to temporarily suspend the civil service examination for the inspection professional group. The reason was that before the exam, an outsider was discovered selling documents and questions related to the inspection professional question bank. Specifically, the Investigation Police Agency discovered that Mr. Tieu Truong Son was selling the inspection professional exam questions to a number of candidates taking the 2017 civil service exam in Ca Mau province, so they invited him to the agency to work.
In addition, Mr. Le Tan Thuan also went to the Investigation Police Department of Ca Mau Province to denounce Mr. Tieu Truong Son's act of "extorting" money. Through working with the authorities, Mr. Son confessed that the documents for sale were provided by Mr. Le Tan Thuan.
