Celebrating 10 years of establishment of the Faculty of Geography - Resource Management

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of December 1, 2013, at Vinh University, the Faculty of Geography - Resource Management held a ceremony to celebrate its 10th anniversary (2003 - 2013). Attending and celebrating with the faculty were many generations of leaders, lecturers, students and colleagues from a number of universities.

After 10 years of construction and development, with the efforts of the staff, civil servants and employees of the entire faculty, the Faculty of Geography - Resource Management has achieved many achievements. Currently, the faculty has 3 undergraduate training majors: Geography Pedagogy, Land Management, and Natural Resources and Environment Management. The training scale has increased continuously, from 49 students in the first course to the 2013 - 2014 school year, the faculty has had over 2,400 full-time students and nearly 500 part-time students, with about 600 graduates. The staff and lecturers have 19 people, including 1 associate professor, 5 doctors, 16 masters (7 of whom are doing research at home and abroad)... In the past 10 years, 78 scientific research topics at all levels have been accepted, 168 scientific research works have been published in specialized journals.

The 10th anniversary is an opportunity for generations of staff, lecturers and students of the faculty to meet and look back on the achievements over the past time.At the same time, it sets out tasks and development orientations in the coming time with the aim of building Vinh University and Faculty into one of the key universities in the country.
