10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the PCTPMT Force - Nghe An Border Guard

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 10, the Drug Crime Prevention and Control Department (PCTPMT) of Nghe An Provincial Border Guard held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the PCTPMT force.

10 years ago, on March 10, 2005, the Party Committee - Command of Nghe An Border Guard organized the announcement of the Decision to establish the Nghe An Border Guard's Anti-Drug Crime Prevention Department, and at the same time established 10 anti-drug crime teams in 10 key units in the province. This was the moment marking the birth of the specialized anti-drug crime force under Nghe An Border Guard.

After 10 years of building, fighting and growing, the Anti-Terrorism Department has continuously grown in terms of organization, staff and equipment to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation. In particular, it has advised and coordinated to establish, fight and handle thousands of special projects and cases, confiscating many important exhibits. 40 special projects of large nature and scale have been established and fought... Confiscated more than 250 heroin cakes;178kg of explosives, 1,124 detonators, 86m of fuse; rescued 38 victims who were tricked and sold abroad...

The PCTPMT Department has always been the leading flag in the emulation movement of Nghe An Border Guard, and has been a winning unit for many years. In recognition of these achievements, the staff and soldiers of the PCTPMT Department have been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party, the State, and the Ministry of National Defense. In particular, the President awarded 1 Second-class Fatherland Protection Medal, 4 Second-class Feat Medals, 3 Third-class Feat Medals; 1 individual was awarded the Second-class Feat Medal, 3 individuals were awarded the Third-class Feat Medal... along with many other noble awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of Nghe An Border Guard warmly praised the achievements of the officers and soldiers of the PCTPMT Department; at the same time, he requested the PCTPMT force to continue to promote the achievements and experiences gained in the past 10 years, actively study to improve political capacity, professional qualifications, understanding in all aspects, well meet the functions and requirements of crime prevention tasks in the new situation, contributing with other forces to maintain political security, social order and safety in the border areas and sea areas of the province.
