(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of February 4, 2014 (the morning of January 5, the year of Giap Ngo), at the Temple of Emperor Quang Trung - Dung Quyet Mountain, Vinh City held the Ceremony to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory (1789 - 2014).
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Major General Nguyen Chi Huong - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches; leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Vinh City, along with a large number of Vinh City people and tourists from all over the country.

After the music program and Tay Son drum performance, comrade Nguyen Trung Chau - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee read the opening speech of the ceremony. The speech reviewed the heroic tradition of the Tay Son movement, under the leadership of the cloth-clothed hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, and one of the most glorious victories in the history of fighting against foreign invaders, the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory in the lightning-fast attack to drive out the Qing invaders in the Spring of the year Ky Dau 1789.
After defeating foreign invaders, Emperor Quang Trung carried out national renovation and construction and chose Yen Truong and Vinh Yen as the capital, called Phuong Hoang Trung Do, built Sung Chinh Library in Nam Hoa commune (now Nam Kim, Nam Dan)... The ceremony aims to commemorate the merits and heroic feats of arms in repelling foreign invaders, and is also an opportunity for future generations to understand more about the history of their ancestors, and to educate the spirit of patriotism, independence, and self-reliance of our nation.

After the solemn and respectful opening ceremony, leaders of Military Region 4, Nghe An province, Vinh city, along with a large number of people and tourists, offered incense to Emperor Quang Trung and his father and mother at the Upper Palace.
Also during the celebration, the Organizing Committee issued "Quang Trung King Temple Seal Cards". This is a special spiritual activity in Vinh city, Nghe An province, which started from Spring Giap Ngo 2014.
