Celebrating 30 years since the first issue of Nghe An Police Newspaper was published

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 16, the Provincial Police organized a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the first issue of Nghe An Police Newspaper (May 19, 1984 - May 19, 2014). Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and gave a speech.

Over the past 30 years, Nghe An Police Newspaper (formerly Nghe Tinh Security Newspaper) has been increasingly improving the quality of both content and form. The newspaper has closely followed the policies of the Party and the State as well as the political tasks of the industry and the locality in each period to propagate and guide security work for police officers and soldiers and the masses in a timely and effective manner. On the other hand, in addition to innovating columns, highly combative journalism genres such as reportage and investigative reportage have also been strengthened by Nghe An Police Newspaper. The diverse, rich reflection style, closely following social life in recent times, has helped Nghe An Police Newspaper meet the increasing needs of the press public inside and outside the police industry. Thanks to that, from a newspaper published once a month to twice a month in the first years, then to a weekly newspaper and in the last 3 years increased to 3 times a week with a stable circulation.

In parallel with the printed newspaper, since 2009, the Nghe An Electronic Police Newspaper has promptly updated the working and combat activities of the police force and the security and order situation in the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

With the results and achievements, over the past 30 years, the editorial staff of Nghe An Public Security Newspaper has been awarded 2 Third Class Military Exploit Medals and many other certificates of merit; many reporters have been awarded various medals and many other forms of commendation.

At the ceremony, comrade Ho Duc Phoc congratulated the growth of the editorial board and the Nghe An Police Newspaper since its first issue. He said that the Nghe An Police Newspaper is one of the most prestigious newspapers in the hearts of readers inside and outside the industry due to its high fighting spirit and attractiveness. The Provincial Party Secretary also reminded the reporters of the Nghe An Police Newspaper to strive even harder, each person must not only practice ethics and style but also improve their professional qualifications; news, articles and photos must ensure authenticity, high fighting spirit, timeliness and humanity. Each reporter must truly be a police officer holding a pen in the field of propaganda. Only then will the newspaper become a sharp and indispensable weapon of the Nghe An Police force on the front line of protecting national security; contributing worthily to the socio-economic development of the province.
