The Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum is one of the first four museums established at the same time as the leading national museums to commemorate special historical events of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of the Party. In accordance with Uncle Ho's wishes in the preface sent to the Museum on February 3, 1964, over the past 50 years, overcoming countless difficulties, the Museum's staff have strived to build the unit into an attractive tourist destination, a special cultural institution, a valuable school of revolutionary history. The Museum has welcomed over 8 million visitors to visit, study and research.
In its work and collection, the Museum has collected nearly 15,000 documents and artifacts, including more than 3,500 original artifacts, 4,000 valuable documentary films, nearly 5,000 personal files of those imprisoned by colonialists and feudalists, and about 2,000 French documents and memoirs of revolutionary veterans... From 1984 to present, the Museum has researched and submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to rank 47 national historical and cultural relics, thereby arousing the pride and responsibility of the people towards the glorious past of their homeland and family.

Overview of the celebration |
Affirming that the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum will always be a red address, a revolutionary school for the people and will make a significant contribution to the work of propagating and educating the revolutionary tradition for the people, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh believes that, with a 50-year tradition, the museum's staff and employees will do better in the tasks assigned by the Party and Uncle Ho. She also noted that in the coming time, the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum needs to further strengthen research, collection and exhibition work to recreate the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement in the most complete and vivid way. It is necessary to invest, innovate and upgrade exhibitions, widely propagate the movement on mass media, coordinate with the tourism industry to promote the Museum as an indispensable tourist destination in Vinh City, and bring the history of the Nghe Tinh Soviet into schools. Try to promote the values of the Nghe Tinh Soviet heritage to serve the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to building a rich and beautiful homeland as Uncle Ho wished and worthy of the great merits of the Nghe Tinh Soviet martyrs.
