Celebrating 50 years of tradition in the Internal Affairs sector

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 15, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Party's internal affairs sector (January 5, 1966 - January 5, 2016).

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Member of the Party Central Committee - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

On the provincial side, there were comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Over the past 50 years, although the functions, tasks and organizational structure have changed to meet the requirements of the tasks, the Party's internal affairs sector has continuously grown and developed. In Nghe An, although the name, functions, tasks and organizational structure have changed and adjusted to suit each period, they still ensure continuity. Thereby, affirming the role and position of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee as well as the leadership and direction of the internal affairs sector of the Standing Committee.

On September 8, 2013, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee officially came into operation. After more than 2 years of operation, with the attention and leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the coordination of relevant departments, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee has synchronously deployed 5 assigned groups of tasks.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee presented a report on the province's internal affairs activities over the past two years.

With the motto "Timely, accurate and quality advice", over the past 2 years, the Provincial Internal Affairs Committee has done a good job of advising the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee to develop and issue policies, directives and resolutions on internal affairs and anti-corruption.

Participate in directing the handling of mass complaints, prolonged complicated religious cases; serious cases that attract public attention. The coordination role of the Internal Affairs Committee with other sectors has created high determination and unity in the investigation, prosecution and trial process.

Obstacles and problems in resolving cases are promptly resolved, helping the handling process of prosecution agencies and competent agencies to handle cadres and party members in accordance with the law and party regulations.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Member of the Party Central Committee - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission affirmed: Compared to other party commissions, the Internal Affairs Commission has a shorter history in terms of time, but its achievements and importance are extremely great. The commission has made many great contributions to the success of the party. Since its inception, most of the urgent and prominent cases with the commission's advice have been thoroughly resolved, contributing to the success of the struggle and defense of the Fatherland.

To continue that tradition, the Nghe An Internal Affairs Committee needs to focus on advising the Standing Committee of the Party Committee to develop and promptly implement a plan to inspect, review and resolve a number of cases and cases in all localities, especially from petitions and letters. At the same time, advise to properly resolve issues of receiving citizens in complaints and denunciations beyond the level, especially at the district level.

On this occasion, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister and the Central Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee. The collective of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee was awarded a certificate of merit from the Central Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; and an emulation flag from the Provincial People's Committee.

The collective leadership of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee; 9 individuals were awarded a commemorative medal by the Central Internal Affairs Committee.
