Former Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong received the Third Class Independence Medal
On the afternoon of September 5, within the framework of the 32nd Session, the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council solemnly held a ceremony to award the Third Class Independence Medal from the President to comrade Nguyen Van Thong - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

In Decision No. 406/QD-CTN, dated April 1, 2025, President Luong Cuong awarded the Third Class Independence Medal to comrade Nguyen Van Thong - former Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for his outstanding achievements during his work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
In a solemn atmosphere, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee awarded the Third Class Independence Medal to Comrade Nguyen Van Thong. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong was born on September 2, 1963; his hometown is Nam Cat commune, Nam Dan district (formerly), now Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province. He was trained in the former Soviet Union, and has a long history of training and dedication through many agencies and units, most closely associated with the field of internal affairs.
Comrade Nguyen Van Thong has 37 years of working experience, 35 years of Party membership, participated in the Provincial Party Executive Committee for 5 terms (more than 23 years), participated in the Provincial Party Standing Committee for 3 terms (nearly 11 years); more than 8 years as a Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee. He officially retired from October 1, 2024.
