Nghe An Department of Home Affairs celebrates 80 years of tradition and receives First Class Labor Medal

80 years of glorious and proud tradition
Over 80 years of construction and development, the Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An province has always been associated with the history of struggle, protecting the achievements of the revolution, gaining national independence, building and developing the country and the province.
Implementing the policy of merging the Home Affairs sector and the Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs sector, Nghe An Home Affairs sector is increasingly growing, performing multi-sectoral and multi-field tasks.

The Department of Home Affairs has advised on the drastic implementation of the work of reorganizing the apparatus and building a two-level local government. This is one of the most important political tasks of the province in recent times.
Timely advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to synchronously implement many practical and effective solutions, creating a strong impression, contributing significantly to the initial success of the revolution in organizational apparatus.

As the Standing Agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, the Department of Home Affairs has effectively advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee in issuing and implementing many leadership, direction, and management documents, contributing significantly to improving the administrative reform indexes, people's satisfaction, and the province's investment and business environment.
The sector has promoted its role in State management in many areas: Training, fostering, management of cadres, civil servants, and public employees; labor, employment, wages; youth work, gender equality; policies for people with meritorious services; emulation - rewards; documents - archives, etc., creating many positive and comprehensive changes in all aspects of work.

In recognition of the outstanding achievements of the Nghe An Province Department of Home Affairs, the President decided to award the First Class Labor Medal (for the second time).
Promoting tradition, making worthy contributions to the development of the province
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged, highly appreciated and congratulated the outstanding achievements of the Home Affairs sector over the past 80 years; at the same time, respectfully thanked the contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers throughout the sector through the periods to the process of building and developing the socio-economy of the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Nghe An province is facing new opportunities, but also many challenges. The province must make greater efforts and determination to achieve its development goals, including the goals included in Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo.
In the coming term, the province aims for double-digit growth and, following the direction of the General Secretary, Nghe An must become a national growth pole in the new era of development.
In order for the province to achieve that goal, it is necessary to continue to innovate State management thinking, streamline the apparatus, improve the quality of service to the people, enhance the efficiency of the administrative apparatus and build a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees who are truly up to the task.

Regarding the Home Affairs sector, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung suggested continuing to promote the achieved results. Continuing to advise the provincial Party Committee and government to perfect the organization and operation of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient.
At the same time, strengthen support, monitoring, inspection and supervision of the operation of the new apparatus, especially at the commune level, to advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee to issue appropriate policies at the local level to solve general and specific problems, in order to promptly handle and remove obstacles, difficulties and shortcomings, especially arising problems, to ensure the apparatus operates smoothly, effectively, truly close to the people, better serving the people's needs.

The Home Affairs sector needs to comprehensively review the remaining issues and difficulties in the content of decentralization, delegation of authority and division of authority between the provincial and communal levels to promptly make recommendations and proposals to the Central agencies and the Ministry of Home Affairs, and relevant units for appropriate adjustments, avoiding duplication and omission of functions and tasks, ensuring that decentralization and delegation of authority from the Central to the grassroots levels are implemented smoothly and effectively.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Department of Home Affairs to closely coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board to advise and propose plans to arrange and transfer staff between communes and wards appropriately, and restructure reasonably to improve the quality of the staff, civil servants, ensuring the right people, the right jobs, the right expertise and skills; enhance the capacity of the commune level in both quantity and quality; complete the missing positions and titles; study more policies to ensure the rights of cadres and civil servants.

Along with that, continue to do better in State management in the fields of labor - employment, labor safety, policies for people with meritorious services; document - archive work, digital document editing according to regulations; administrative boundaries; youth work, gender equality; advise on emulation and reward work to ensure substance; continue to well implement policies for people with meritorious services.
In addition, continue to promote and improve the quality of administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment, and increase the satisfaction index of people and businesses. Promote digital transformation in administrative management activities, towards building a digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The Home Affairs sector needs to take the initiative and be a "role model" in administrative reform and digital transformation.
