Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the medical examination and treatment building of Tuong Duong Medical Center, Nghe An province

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security hadSenior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security; and leaders of professional departments of the Ministry of Public Security.

The leaders of Nghe An province include comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; LeHong Vinh- Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; together with members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and Tuong Duong commune.

The Tuong Duong Medical Center medical examination and treatment building project with a total investment of 30 billion VND, is designed to include 3 floors, with the emergency - intensive care department on the 1st floor, testing - diagnostic imaging on the 2nd floor and surgical - obstetrics on the 3rd floor; expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

The project has profound humanistic significance in the western border region of the Fatherland, demonstrating the sentiments and responsibilities of the central ministries and branches, especially the Ministry of Public Security, for the cause of taking care of people's health, especially in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, highlands, and border areas of Nghe An province.

Previously, due to the severe impact of natural disasters, half of the first floor of the central treatment block of Tuong Duong Medical Center was deeply flooded with water and mud, causing damage to a series of facilities, medical equipment, and office equipment, no longer meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for the people.

The project has special significance in improving the quality of primary health care; providing timely, comprehensive, modern medical services, reducing the burden on upper-level hospitals and meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment, especially for people in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized that the groundbreaking of the construction of the Tuong Duong Medical Center's medical examination and treatment building is a concrete step in implementing Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the project not only meets the health care needs of more than 80,000 ethnic people in the area, but also serves as a solid medical support for the Army and Police forces who are on duty day and night to protect the Fatherland's borders.

At the same time, creating favorable conditions to support Lao people to come to examine and treat diseases has important strategic significance in terms of national defense, security and foreign affairs, contributing to fostering the special solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and Laos.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Nghe An province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh expressed his deep gratitude to the Party, State and central ministries and branches, especially the Ministry of Public Security, and personally Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung for their attention, companionship and valuable help over the past time so that the projects could be soon deployed in the border land - Western Nghe An.

In order for the project to be completed and put into use soon, Nghe An province commits to coordinate and actively implement, hand over the clean site in full and on time, create the most favorable conditions for the construction unit to implement on schedule, ensure absolute quality and safety.

Nghe An province will direct the sectors and Tuong Duong Medical Center to closely coordinate and provide maximum support to the investor and the construction unit throughout the construction process; fully and best prepare the conditions of human resources, programs, facilities and equipment to soon put the projects into effective operation.

Tuong Duong Medical Center will become a bright spot in the medical field of the Western Nghe An region; worthy of the special attention and deep affection that the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security have given to the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security emphasized that over the years, the Party and State have always paid attention to, directed and identified the health sector as one of the key areas to ensure social security, the foundation for rapid and sustainable national development.

Along with the medical examination and treatment building of Tuong Duong Medical Center, Muong Ai Kindergarten in Muong Tip commune are two projects of great significance in implementing political tasks under the direction of the Party and State on social security work, ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, especially in remote, isolated and border areas.

Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung believes that when completed and put into operation, Tuong Duong Medical Center and Muong Ai Kindergarten will be modern, typical, and exemplary medical and educational facilities in the region, improving the quality of community health care and comprehensive education.

Thereby, creating conditions for ethnic minorities in the border areas of the province to receive medical examination and treatment in the best and safest environment, contributing to the sustainable and comprehensive development of the Western Nghe An region.

To complete the projects soon, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung requested functional units of Nghe An province to closely coordinate with construction units to deploy on schedule, ensuring quality, safety and savings.

At the same time, we take care of training a team of managers, doctors and medical staff with good qualities, capacity and enthusiasm, contributing to the strong development of healthcare, gradually developing a strong team of doctors and professors in the highlands, narrowing the regional gap.
