500th Anniversary of the Birth of General Dinh Bat Tuy

(Baonghean.vn) – On the evening of March 18, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district held a ceremony to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of General Dinh Bat Tuy at his temple in Bui Ngoa village, Hung Trung commune, Hung Nguyen.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Full-time member of the Northwest Steering Committee; Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; representatives of Hung Nguyen district leaders.

General Dinh Bat Tuy was born in 1528 into a Confucian family in Bui Ngoa village, Bui Khong commune (now Hung Trung commune, Hung Nguyen district). He was a scholar, a general who was both civil and military, loyal to the king and patriotic; one of the "famous generals and good ministers" who made many contributions to the cause of quelling rebellions, pacifying the people, and stabilizing the country in the 16th century.

Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa - Principal of Vinh University, representative of Dinh Family Council spoke at the ceremony.

During nearly 40 years as an official (1554-1589), Dinh Bat Tuy assisted three generations of kings.hallo: Le Trung Tong (1554 - 1555), Le Anh Tong (1556 - 1572) and Le The Tong (1573 - 1589). The name and achievements of Dinh Bat Tuy were recorded by the Le Dynasty and national history as "The First Meritorious Official".
