60th Anniversary of Immigration Management and Economic Security

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien awarded prizes to individuals with outstanding achievements in ensuring economic security.
Although the two units, the Immigration Management Department and the Economic Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, have different functions and tasks, they share the same goal in ensuring national security. At each time, the two forces always demonstrate unity and solidarity, affirming their steadfast revolutionary spirit, and excellently completing the tasks of preventing, detecting and combating all types of crimes, protecting national security, and maintaining social order and safety.
During the years of resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism, the Economic Security and Immigration Management Forces of Nghe An Public Security always stood side by side with the army and people of the province, achieved many outstanding feats, defeated all plots and tricks of the enemy, investigated and clarified many cases, arrested many dangerous spies, protected resistance bases, and protected the lives and property of the people.
The unified country entered a new period, the two forces always thoroughly grasped the idea of "Proactive Security", not to be passive or surprised. With its functions and tasks, the immigration management force promoted administrative procedure reform, with the goal of creating the most favorable conditions for international tourists and people to exit, enter and reside, the procedures were also simplified to the maximum, shortening the time for passport and visa procedures, which was highly appreciated by the people. The Economic Security Force always actively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee in selecting investment partners, serving the economic development of the locality, mobilizing the combined strength of sectors, organizations and people in prevention work; To promote internal strength to the fullest, be calm, resilient, and resourceful, to fight against all types of economic crimes, to fight and defeat the plots of hostile forces "Using economy to transform politics" in the area, to fight and defeat all plots of all types of crimes, to contribute to ensuring national security and social order and safety in the area, to create a safe and open environment to attract investment in the socio-economic development of the province.
At the ceremony, the forces reviewed the tradition of struggle, construction and growth. It was also an opportunity for previous generations to convey and share valuable experiences in maintaining security and order, ensuring national security for officers and soldiers working in Immigration Management and Economic Security.
To continue to meet the requirements of work in the new situation, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department requested the two units to strengthen political and ideological education for officers and soldiers in conjunction with the movement "CAND study and implement Uncle Ho's 6 teachings", along with implementing the campaign "CAND strictly follow the orders; build a cultural lifestyle to serve the people", creating a strong change in awareness and action for each officer and soldier, contributing to ensuring a peaceful life for the people.

With outstanding achievements, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Economic Security Force, the unit was awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the State; the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Police Director awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in ensuring security in the fields of immigration management and Economic Security.
