Celebrating the 65th anniversary of the traditional day of Inter-zone IV Pedagogical School

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 29, at the College of Education, the Liaison Committee of Inter-Zone IV Pedagogical School held a meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the tradition of Inter-Zone IV Pedagogical School (1950 - 2015).

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Education and Training, the Nghe An Former Teachers Association, the Board of Directors of the College of Education, and teachers and former students of the school.

Inter-zone IV Pedagogical School is one of the first five pedagogical schools of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, established in 1950, located in Nhan Boi village, Bach Ngoc commune (now Ngoc Son, Lam Son, Boi Son communes), Do Luong district, Nghe An.

Although it only existed for a short time (1950-1957), the school trained thousands of primary and secondary teachers for the country, contributing to the formation of a team of teachers, creating human resources for the formation of the country's teaching staff after independence.

Also from this school, many teachers, with their tireless efforts, have become talented teachers and famous scientists at home and abroad such as Professor Nguyen Canh Toan, Ton Gia Ngan, Vo Quy, Le Khanh Bang, Nguyen Tai Can...

The school also laid important foundations for many pedagogical schools in the Central provinces later, from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue, including Nghe An Pedagogical College.

The meeting had an exchange between generations of teachers and students of the school.

At the meeting, generations of teachers and students recalled memories of their years of studying and working at the school. At the same time, they shared and discussed issues related to education and the career of cultivating people in the current period.

A valuable thing is that even though 65 years have passed, the students of Inter-Zone IV Pedagogical School are now old and weak, but many of them continue to contribute their efforts and intelligence to the cause of education in the localities, enthusiastically work in teachers' associations, education promotion associations and participate in research, training and nurturing the younger generation.

On this occasion, the Liaison Committee of Inter-Zone IV Pedagogical School also donated 10,000,000 VND to the Student Support Fund of Nghe An Pedagogical College.
