Ky Son: 4 people poisoned by belladonna have stabilized
(Baonghean.vn) -On June 20, Ky Son District Medical Center confirmed that 4 people in the Belladonna poisoning case in Ban Ba Xa Huu Kiem on June 10 were saved after being transferred to the provincial hospital in time.

Before that, Mrs. Loc Thi Hue, her two children and a grandchild had eaten a mixed soup (in Thai, called Nham Nhoc) consisting of vegetables such as fruits, young shoots and some other vegetables, including some poisonous bitter melon shoots. About 15-20 minutes after eating, the victims felt headaches, nausea, dizziness, weak limbs, convulsions and unconsciousness. Fortunately, the four mother and children, grandmother and grandchildren were promptly taken to the district hospital for emergency care and transferred to a higher level for treatment. Currently, the victims' health is normal.
From this poisoning incident, ethnic minorities need to learn from their experiences when picking wild vegetables for food. The health sector recommends that everyone: Pick vegetables and fruits that you know well, do not pick vegetables and fruits that you do not know to eat.
