Ky Son: 56 disabled children receive free surgery

(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, 56 children in Ky Son district will receive free surgery for motor disabilities and Delta muscle fibrosis from Nghe An province's Orthopedic Center in collaboration with the Children's Surgery Organization of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Previously, with the aim of helping disadvantaged children in mountainous areas, in Ky Son district, the Center organized screening for children in 18 communes. After the screening, the Center planned to sponsor free surgery and treatment for 56 children. The most of them were in Muong Long, Huoi Tu, My Ly communes...

In addition to the free surgery, the Center also supports each child with 500,000 VND for meals and 200,000 VND for transportation. The Center supports 3 children with 3 wheelchairs.

It is expected that the children will have surgery from August 16 to 20.
