Ky Son: Food poisoning, 4 people hospitalized

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 12, information from Ky Son District General Hospital said that a food poisoning incident had just occurred in the area, causing 4 people to be hospitalized.

Previously, on June 10, 2013, Ms. Loc Thi Hue, residing in Ba village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, while working in the fields, discovered a wild eggplant plant with thorny fruits, so she picked it and brought it home to make lunch.

After returning to the hut, Ms. Hue and her twin children Nguyen Van Luong and Nguyen Van Duc (7 years old) and her nephew Lu Van Nguyen (11 years old) all ate wild eggplant. About 30 minutes later, all four of them showed signs of fatigue and collapsed right at the dinner table, showing signs of turning purple.

Afterwards, the victims were discovered by passersby and taken to Ky Son District General Hospital for emergency treatment. Here, doctors treated and washed the victims' stomachs. Currently, 4 people are temporarily out of danger.
