Ky Son destroyed 6,500 packs of smuggled cigarettes

(Baonghean.vn)- On May 6, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Ky Son district destroyed 6,500 packs of smuggled cigarettes, produced in Laos.

Authorities re-check the goods before proceeding with destruction.

The smuggled cigarettes destroyed this time were branded “GEM”, originating from Laos. This was the evidence discovered and seized by the Border Guard Station at Nam Can International Border Gate from Pham Xuan Huong, born in 1985, residing in Cam Son Commune, Anh Son District, while he was transporting these cigarettes across the border.

The discovery, seizure and destruction of a large quantity of smuggled foreign cigarettes by Ky Son authorities contributed to preventing the trafficking, transportation and circulation of smuggled cigarettes in the province.
