Ky Son: Organizing a contest for excellent secondary school teachers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 28, at Muong Xen Town Secondary School, Ky Son Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the 2013-2015 cycle of excellent secondary school teachers' competition.

This competition attracted 159 teachers from all over the district to participate. The schools with the largest number of participants were Na Ngoi, Chieu Luu, and Muong Xen town. This is considered an important competition to improve skills and foster a passion for teaching in each teacher, and is also an opportunity for teachers to learn and exchange experiences with each other. Through this competition, the Department of Education will also select outstanding individuals to participate in the provincial competition for excellent teachers, which will be organized by the Department of Education and Training in the near future.

Candidates participating in the exam will have to go through three parts: the theoretical part to test the understanding of educational programs and the professional capacity of teachers; the experience initiative part and the practical part. Teachers who pass the theoretical part and the experience initiative part will be allowed to participate in the practical part. The theoretical part and the experience initiative part will take place on the same day, December 28, 2014, and the practical part will take place in March 2015.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hoa - Head of Ky Son Education and Training Department emphasized: "This is an important competition of the education sector. The teachers participating in the competition have been carefully selected by the units, they are the representatives of the education sector of the district, so we need to try our best to achieve the highest results, worthy of being exemplary teachers in front of colleagues and students".
