Ky Son: Organizing twinning of villages on both sides of the border

(Baonghean.vn)- On December 10, in Muong Tip commune (Ky Son), a twinning ceremony took place between Ta Do village - Muong Tip commune - Ky Son district - Nghe An province with Na Muong village, Pha Ven village cluster - Noong Het district - Xieng Khouang province (Lao PDR).

Attending the signing ceremony, on the Vietnamese side were representatives of the Nghe An Border Guard Command, leaders of Ky Son district, Muong Tip commune, officials and people of Ta Do village. On the Lao side, there were representatives of the Xieng Khouang Foreign Affairs Department, leaders of Noong Het district, Pha Ven village cluster, officials and people of Na Muong village.

Delegates and people of both sides attended the signing ceremony.

In the presence of leaders of both sides, representatives of Ta Do and Na Muong villages signed a memorandum of understanding on continuing to maintain and develop solidarity and friendship between the governments and people of the two villages.

In the presence of leaders of both sides, representatives of the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Ta Do village was chosen as a model for the twinning of the two border villages in Ky Son district (Vietnam) and Noong Het, Muong Moc, Sam To, Vieng Thoong districts (Laos). This signing is aimed at continuing to maintain stability, maintaining security and order on the border and promoting the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Thereby, continuing to raise awareness among people on both sides of the border about the policies and laws of each country, especially regarding territorial sovereignty, national borders, agreements and border regulations that the two countries have signed, while at the same time helping each other develop the economy and reduce poverty.
