Ky Son planted 150 hectares of high-yield off-season cassava

(Baonghean) - The high-yield cassava planting model KM 94 in Pha Danh commune and some communes of Ky Son has been implemented since early 2011. From the initial 10 hectares, the communes have taken advantage of the swidden area to develop to over 150 hectares. Currently, the off-season KM 94 cassava in Ky Son is growing well, with an expected yield of 25 - 30 tons/ha. The district has signed contracts with cassava factories in the province to purchase all post-harvest products for farmers at an agreed price of 1,000 - 1,200 VND/kg.
