Food technology engineer earns hundreds of millions each year from raising chickens

(Baonghean.vn) - After graduating from university with a major in food technology, Mr. Le Van Duong returned to his hometown in Quynh Bang commune, Quynh Luu.(Nghe An)invest in raising chickens, earn hundreds of millions each year.

In early 2015, Le Van Duong returned to his hometown to start a business with a loan of 50 million VND from the policy bank to invest in building barns, automatic drinking water systems, industrial feeders and brooding pens for chicks.

The first batch of chickens had an 80% survival rate and grew quickly. After 4 months of care, he sold them and earned 30 million VND. He is currently expanding the scale of his farm to 4,500 chickens per batch. With the rotation method, there are always 1,500 chickens ready for sale, 2,000 1-month-old chickens and 1,000 breeding chickens in the farm.

Mr. Duong applies the technique of hatching chicks to be more proactive in raising livestock.

For each batch of chickens, Mr. Duong follows the vaccination process and pays attention to cleaning the barn, ensuring clean food and water. To ensure the model operates well, Mr. Duong hires 5 workers with a salary of 4 million VND/person/month.

With knowledge of food technology, along with self-study, improving techniques and experience in raising animals, this year, Mr. Le Van Duong's chicken raising model is expected to earn over 100 million VND/year. Mr. Duong also successfully applied the technique of hatching chickens and plans to build an incubator to supply to people in the area./.
