ASEAN Skills Competition: Vietnam wins first prize overall

The latest information was announced at the 3rd Technical Organizing Committee of the 10th ASEAN Skills Competition 2014, meeting in Hanoi on the morning of October 28. This is the 3rd time Vietnam has ranked first in 10 times of organizing the ASEAN Skills Competition.

Candidates from the Vietnamese delegation are competing in civil carpentry.

After synthesizing the test scores according to the Automatic and Objective Evaluation System, the Organizing Committee of the 10th ASEAN Skills Competition 2014 met to agree and approve the results of the 10th ASEAN Skills Competition. Accordingly, Vietnam ranked first overall with 15 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.

Ranked second is the Malaysian delegation with 9 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 9 bronze medals; Indonesian delegation ranked third with 9 gold medals, 3 silver medals; Singapore ranked fourth with 5 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals; Thai delegation ranked fifth with 5 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals...

According to Mr. Duong Duc Lan - Head of the Organizing Committee of the 10th ASEAN Skills Competition: "The result of the first place of the entire delegation shows that Vietnam's personnel preparation and contestant training are very good. The result of the number of gold medals of the Vietnamese delegation compared to the second place delegation shows a quite absolute difference. The second place delegation only has about 8-9 gold medals. Vietnamese contestants are assessed by the participating delegations as creative and highly skilled."

On the afternoon of October 28, the Organizing Committee of the Competition will hold a press conference to announce the results of the ASEAN Skills Competition at the My Dinh National Convention Center, Hanoi.
