Kyodo: Agricultural market in Xinjiang attacked, dozens dead

Kyodo, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported on October 19 that on October 12, four Uyghur men used knives and explosives to attack a farmers' market in Xinjiang, Northwest China, killing 22 people, including police officers and the perpetrators.

In addition, the incident also injured dozens of other people.

RFA quoted police as saying the attack took place at a Han Chinese agricultural market in Bachu county.

Four Uyghurs stabbed several police officers while riding two motorbikes into the market, and used explosives to attack Han Chinese stall owners before being shot dead by security personnel./.
