In addition, Vinh City is identified as a key complex area for drugs in Nghe An province because it is both a transit area and a consumption area. In the field of fighting against social order crimes, Vinh City Police have investigated and clarified nearly 1,600 criminal cases, arrested more than 2,000 subjects; established and fought hundreds of major projects, causing strong resonance and creating good public opinion among the people. Eliminated 229 gangs, arrested 714 subjects, including many wanted subjects, dangerous criminals, typically: The arrest of Vu Hoai My (My co) born in 1984, Vu Hoai Khanh (Khanh My co) born in 1987, Pham Huu Phi (Phi tron) born in 1991... In the field of fighting against drug crimes, we have fought to eliminate 17 drug lines, 3 locations, 1 production location and 347 drug retail points... In particular, in recent years, special projects established from the work of investigating and verifying suspicions have brought about effectiveness, the attention to directing the good performance of basic investigation work is very important in the work of preventing and fighting all types of crimes, especially organized crimes and dangerous criminal crimes. From 2011 to 2015, 154 special projects were established and fought, 482 subjects were arrested and prosecuted.

Those “telling” numbers show the success and effectiveness of large and small projects, but there are still many silent stories that are rarely mentioned. They are sweat, blood and tears, and countless silent sacrifices. Many times in contact with officers and soldiers of Vinh City Police, it is not difficult to realize that behind the quick, somewhat busy style and the dry, principled appearance are kind hearts, devoted to their work. Anyone who has stayed up all night with the officers and soldiers, studying each case file; anyone who has accompanied them on their journeys to solve cases regardless of day or night ... will surely understand those countless silences.
