Of the total 1 million scratch-off lottery tickets with codes from DL110 to DL119 issued by Lam Dong Lottery Company Limited 6 days ago (September 27), 100,000 tickets with code DL116 had technical errors. Specifically, the silver layer covering the "Winning Scratch-off Place" section was too thin, so a very bright light could be used to see the results. This is the number of scratch-off lottery tickets issued by Smart Technology Investment and Development Company Limited in Ho Chi Minh City.
As soon as the incident was discovered, Lam Dong Lottery Company decided to temporarily stop issuing and recall all lottery tickets at agents in 21 southern provinces and cities.
According to Mr. Luong Huu Duc, Head of Planning and Finance Department, Lam Dong Lottery Company, for the number of scratch cards with errors that have been sold to the market, the winning tickets will still be paid normally, while the non-winning tickets will be compensated by the unit according to the face value that people bought. Currently, the troubleshooting has been basically completed:“The tickets that customers buy and win will still receive the prize as usual, but the tickets with code DL116 that have technical errors, if customers who have bought them feel they have been wronged, can bring them to the company through the agent system, mainly this lot of numbers sold in Ho Chi Minh City, and they will be compensated with the face value of the tickets. The printing company has committed to take responsibility for all these damages. Up to this moment, basically all the tickets have been recovered.”./.
