Traveling on the asphalt road in Dong Thinh hamlet, Phu Thanh commune - Yen Thanh, few people know that this is a traffic route made with the new road paving material technology Carboncor Asphalt. Mr. Le Van Linh - a resident of Dong Thinh hamlet excitedly said: Compared to concrete roads, we find this road more beautiful, no different from asphalt roads, convenient for vehicles to travel, especially the good quality, over time of use does not peel off. Our people are focusing on covering the roadside with grass and planting trees to create a shady landscape.

Mr. Tong Huu Tinh - Land officer of Phuc Thanh commune said: Dong Thinh hamlet road used to be muddy in the rainy season, only 2 - 3 m wide. Understanding the great significance of having a wide and beautiful road, households in Dong Thinh agreed to donate land to build a road that meets the criteria of the Ministry of Transport. The roadbed is 3.5 m wide plus the sidewalk is 6 m wide with a length of nearly 500 m, all made using the new road paving material technology Carboncor Asphalt (the construction part is undertaken by a construction unit in Nam Dinh).

It is known that the new material production technology Carboncor Asphalt is not picky about the type of foundation, the construction is not too complicated, and it takes advantage of local raw materials such as stone, brick, etc. to make the foundation. The construction process includes: Step 1: Prepare the foundation and construction surface according to standard specifications. Step 2: Water evenly on the surface to be constructed. Step 3: Spread Carboncor Asphalt material according to the required thickness. Step 4: Water evenly on the surface of the material before rolling to create a flat surface, then proceed to roll to create a finished flat surface. Carboncor Asphalt material uses 3 components: Stone, sieved coal ash (coal waste) along with a special emulsion.

The adhesion and strength of Carboncor Asphalt are formed by the reaction between water, air with emulsion, coal waste, this reaction makes Carboncor Asphalt material bond into a solid block with the roadbed. Carboncor Asphalt does not melt and soften in hot weather like normal asphalt but is flexible. The time to put the project into use is also shortened because after rolling, the vehicle can run. Carboncor Asphalt creates a solid road surface, good durability, anti-slip (high grip) and easy to walk on.

Mr. Tong Huu Tinh added: Making roads with the new paving material technology Carboncor Asphalt is not only durable but also has almost no loss rate, making the cost significantly lower than making concrete roads. Specifically, making rural roads costs about 3.2 - 3.5 million VND/m2, while making roads with the new paving material Carboncor Asphalt costs only about 3 million VND/m2. Besides, making roads with standard cement concrete costs a lot, surface maintenance is difficult, high cost, and low life. Meanwhile, Carboncor Asphalt material can still cover the cement concrete road with a thin layer of Carboncor Asphalt about 2 cm as an insulating layer to reduce fatigue of cement concrete.

Using the new paving material Carboncor Asphalt is in line with the policy of the State and the people building rural roads together. Phuc Thanh is continuing to survey inter-village and inter-commune roads to be able to use the new paving material Carboncor Asphalt.
