For the first time, Nghe An province has achieved level 3 standards for universal primary education.
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the result of the efforts of the entire education sector, contributing to improving the quality of education throughout the province.
The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 713/QD-UBND on recognizing the achievement of literacy eradication standards.tigerPreschool education for 5-year-old children, universal primary education, and universal lower secondary education by 2020.
Accordingly, at the preschool level, all 21 districts, cities, and towns have achieved the standard for universal preschool education for 5-year-old children. The province also has 21 units that have achieved level 2 literacy eradication standards.

At the lower secondary level, the province has 4 localities that have achieved Level 3 universal lower secondary education standards, including (Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Thai Hoa Town, and Tan Ky District). In addition, there are 13 units that have achieved Level 2 universal lower secondary education standards, and 4 units that have achieved Level 1 universal lower secondary education standards, namely Que Phong, Tuong Duong, Quynh Luu, and Hoang Mai Town.
According to this decision, Tan Ky district is the first locality in the group (district) to achieve level 3 universal secondary education standards at the lower secondary level.

Specifically, according to this decision, all 21 districts, cities, and towns in Nghe An province have now met the universal education standards.primary educationLevel 3. This data is assessed based on the enrollment rate of primary school-aged children. Specifically, the number of 6-year-old children (born in 2014) enrolled in grade 1 in the province is 65,179, reaching a rate of 99.75%; the number of 11-year-old children (born in 2009) who have completed the program is 53,770, reaching a rate of 96.71%. There are no schools where 11-year-old children drop out. In addition, throughout the province, the enrollment rate of children with disabilities capable of learning in school reached 98.7%.
Previously, Nghe An was a province with a large area, complex mountainous terrain, difficult transportation, scattered ethnic minority populations, and economic hardship for some segments of the population. The general level of education was uneven, therefore, the conditions for developing education in general and universal primary education in particular faced many difficulties.

Therefore, achieving universal primary education at level 3 is a highly commendable effort.
This is the first time Nghe An has achieved Level 3 primary education universalization standards, and it is one of the few provinces and cities nationwide to achieve this rate. Currently, Nghe An has also prepared a report to send to the Ministry of Education and Training so that the Ministry can conduct an assessment and officially recognize primary education universalization for the entire province this year.

Standards for recognizing the achievement of Level 3 universal primary education.
1. For the commune:
a) Ensuring compliance with the standards for recognition of universal primary education at level 2;
b) The percentage of 6-year-old children entering first grade reaches at least 98%;
c) The percentage of 11-year-old children completing primary education reaches at least 90%, and at least 80% for communes with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions; all remaining 11-year-old children are still attending primary school.
2. For districts: At least 90% of communes must be recognized as having achieved Level 3 universal primary education standards.
3. For the province: 100% of the districts have been recognized as achieving Level 3 universal primary education standards.
