Ban Ang and Chau Thang hydroelectric reservoirs released water on the night of July 21 and early morning of July 22.
Tối ngày 21/7, Ban chỉ huy Phòng chống thiên tai, Tìm kiếm cứu nạn và Phòng thủ dân sự tỉnh tiếp tục có thông báo hoả tốc số 119 về việc xả nước hồ chứa thủy điện Bản Ang, từ sau 23 giờ 15 phút.
Thông báo nêu rõ: Vào lúc 19 giờ 09 phút ngày 21/7, Văn phòng thường trực Ban chỉ huy Phòng chống thiên tai, Tìm kiếm cứu nạn và Phòng thủ dân sự tỉnh nhận được Thông báo số 10 ngày 21/7 của Công ty cổ phần Thủy điện Nậm Mô, Nậm Nơn về việc xả nước hồ chứa thủy điện Bản Ang.
Để đảm bảo công tác vận hành xả nước hồ chứa thủy điện Bản Ang được an toàn theo đúng quy trình đơn hồ và quy trình liên hồ chứa trên lưu vực sông Cả đã được phê duyệt và tình hình diễn biến thủy văn tại công trình, Công ty cổ phần Thủy điện Nậm Mô, Nậm Nơn dự kiến xả nước hồ chứa thủy điện Bản Ang như sau:
Thời gian dự kiến điều tiết nước: Sau 23 giờ 15 phút ngày 21/7/2025.
Discharge flow:Total discharge is expected to be approximately 200m3/s to 500m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets) and may vary depending on the inflow to the lake.
Estimated time to complete spillway discharge:When the water flow to the lake is smaller than the electricity generation flow through the generators.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Tuong Duong Commune People's Committee and Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Ban Ang Hydropower Plant to ensure the safety of life and property of the state and people.

Accordingly, at 20:05, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 04 dated July 21 from PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company on the operation and regulation of Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir.
To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, the Standing Office of the Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir Command Board of the province announces the expected regulation of Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Discharge flow:Total discharge from 74m3/s - 2,000m3/s (Including discharge flow through the valve gate and power generation flow through the generators) and may change depending on the water flow to the lake.
