Wave of bombings shakes capital Baghdad
On May 27, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said there were at least 11 consecutive explosions in the capital Baghdad, killing at least 50 people and injuring 99 others.
Police and medical officials said there were at least 11 large explosions in busy markets, shopping areas and church areas in districts across the capital and in Baghdad's suburbs, which are home to a large Shi'ite Muslim population.

According to sources, there have been at least seven car bombs around the capital Baghdad.
No organization has yet claimed responsibility for the horrific attacks. However, observers believe that the Al-Qaeda terrorist group in Iraq often carries out such bloody attacks.
