The emulation movement "Building Nghe An women of the new era" implemented by women's unions at all levels in the province has contributed to helping many women confidently rise up to take control of their lives and contribute to society.

Coming to marry into Yen Trung block, Quynh Di ward (Hoang Mai town) while her husband works far from home, raising 2 small children and opening a grocery store, for Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyen "there is no time to participate in any local association, group or movement activities".
Encouraged by the Women's Union of Quynh Di Ward to participate in the model "Building a new-age Hoang Mai woman"; directly listening to many communication topics on reproductive health care, women's behavior in the family and in society, building a happy family...; participating in cultural and sports activities, Ms. Nguyen found it useful, her health and spirit more comfortable.
From a woman who only cared about family and children, Ms. Nguyen is not only an active member of the model "Building a new-age Hoang Mai woman" but also a core member of many local movements. She was introduced by the Yen Trung Party Cell to participate in the Party sympathy class and is continuing to be monitored and trained to be admitted to the Party.
The model "Building a new-age Hoang Mai woman" was deployed in Quynh Di ward, jointly directed by the Provincial Women's Union and Hoang Mai town, with 50 participating members.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quynh Di Ward said: "Among the 50 members participating in the model, there are many women who have been busy with farming, business, husbands and children for a long time without paying attention to themselves. The model with many diverse communication activities, such as training and seminars, has contributed to improving knowledge in all aspects for women.
Associated with communication are cultural, physical education and sports activities such as volleyball, football and badminton, which have helped women change their awareness, know how to arrange time and work to participate in cultural and sports activities to improve their health and spiritual life.
In particular, the topic of learning and following Uncle Ho's example of thrift and love for humanity has contributed to inspiring and spreading the spirit of thrift and helping people in difficult circumstances in the locality among members. Or through topics on food hygiene and safety in agricultural and seafood production and processing and women's responsibility in environmental protection... also raising awareness, responsibility and actions of women in this story.
According to the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quynh Di Ward, the changes of the women in the model "Building a new-age Hoang Mai woman" have contributed to spreading the spirit of rising up, being conscious and responsible for themselves, their families and society of the women in the locality. Accordingly, many movements launched by the Women's Union of the Ward have been positively responded to by female cadres and members.
Not only in Quynh Di ward, but the model "Building Hoang Mai women of the new era" has become a widespread movement in the entire Hoang Mai town to concretize the emulation movement "Building Nghe An women of the new era" launched by the Provincial Women's Union.
The focus of the movement in the town, according to Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet - Vice President of the Women's Union of Hoang Mai town, is communication, raising awareness and parallel action among female cadres and members, such as promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation in many activities of life; enhancing knowledge and skills in health care, preventing and combating social evils and fraud through social networks, domestic violence; implementing gender equality; building happy families... That is the responsibility of female cadres and members in building a safe environment for women and children; contributing to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Hoang Mai Women's Union at all levels has also organized many activities, creating conditions for women to confidently rise up and take control of their lives through activities to support women in borrowing capital and training them in knowledge to start a business and develop the economy.
From 2023 to present, through fundraising activities, the Women's Union at all levels of Hoang Mai town has supported thousands of poor women and children; built livelihood models with 97 models; built charity houses for women with housing difficulties with 7 houses in 2 years (2023 - 2024); connected to sponsor 137 orphans with nearly 2.5 billion VND...

“Building Nghe An women of the new era: Knowledgeable, ethical, healthy, with aspirations to rise up, responsible for themselves, their families and the Fatherland” is a major movement of the Nghe An Women's Union in the 2021-2026 term. This movement aims to realize the emulation movement “Building Vietnamese women of the new era” launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
Based on the implementation plan and organization of annual commitment signing to direct 2 pilot models in Quynh Di ward (Hoang Mai town) and Quynh Doi commune (Quynh Luu) of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, the provincial Women's Union at all levels has specified and clearly defined the content of each criterion for effective implementation.
To implement the criteria of building knowledgeable women, the association at all levels has increased coordination with organizations and units to organize training courses to improve knowledge in all aspects for female cadres and members, especially knowledge of production and business; on building happy families; on information technology, digital transformation, etc.
Regarding ethical criteria, the women's union at all levels has implemented many models and tasks to train the qualities of "Confidence, self-respect, honesty, and responsibility" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style among female cadres and members.
Implementing health criteria for women is to promote communication activities to improve health care knowledge and organize exchanges, folk dance competitions, volleyball, women's soccer and movements of physical exercise, walking...
Implementing the criteria of women's aspirations to rise up is the activities to support and create conditions for female cadres and members to develop the economy, confidently rise up to take control of their lives, pursue and conquer their dreams.
Implementing the criteria of being responsible for oneself, family, society and the Fatherland, the Women's Union at all levels has organized many effective and practical movements and models, contributing to promoting the movement of building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and social security in localities.
Typical examples are the movement to build “Family of 5 no, 3 clean”; “Family of 5 yes, 3 clean”; models: “Savings tube”, “Savings jar”; “Turning scrap into breeding stock, books, school supplies; into humanitarian and charitable activities”; “Sunday of love”; “Trash bags of affection”…
Through social security activities, each year, the Women's Union at all levels has supported and helped more than 1,000 women members escape poverty. With the "Godmother" program, to date, the Women's Union at all levels has sponsored and connected with sponsors for 2,143 orphans.
