After a period of working in the fields, my family and some other workers often travel to different localities to build foundations for constructions. The work is tiring but it is also fun once you get used to it. This job requires patience and dexterity.” |

| The income of the foundation work depends on the scale of the project. Most of the construction owners will pay the workers a certain amount of money, negotiated by both parties. Small foundations cost 8-10 million VND in total, and take about 10 days. Large foundations cost about 15-50 million VND. If not paid as a lump sum but calculated by the day, the nail worker will be paid 250,000 VND per day. |
