To get the amount of fish to make in a day, around 3-4 am, Trung Hau people have to go to Dien Thanh and Dien Bich beaches (Dien Chau district) or further to the seaports in Cua Lo and Cua Hoi towns; Quynh Phuong and Quynh Tien (Hoang Mai town)... to buy fish. Most of them buy frozen fish from long-term fishing boats, a few buy fresh fish caught at night. Photo: Nguyen Thanh |

Fish must be grilled on a stove with a moderate heat. The more evenly the griller turns the fish, the more delicious the fish will be. Each day, a "griller" is paid from 150,000 to 170,000 VND/person. On average, each grill in Trung Hau grills 1 ton of fish per day, hiring about 10 workers. The most grilled fish are herring, mackerel, silver pomfret, mackerel, sardines, spotted scad, and anchovies... Photo: Nguyen Thanh. |
