Mr. Tran Van Hoan, the owner of a peach grower in Minh Thanh commune, said that since December 22, customers from all over have been coming to buy peach trees, selling about 30-40 peach trees each day. About a week before, many customers had come to choose and deposit some peach trees.

"The peach garden has about 400 trees, big and small, of all kinds. Customers come and choose what they like, and the price is reasonable. Overall, this year the peach blossoms bloom right on Tet so they are easy to sell. It is expected that by December 27, the peach garden will be sold out, and the family will not have to take the peaches to sell.DigHere, the whole tree is sold, or the tree is cut across depending on the customer's request, but the price is the same. However, this year due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the selling price is lower than previous years," Mr. Tran Van Hoan shared.

Mr. Vinh, a peach buyer from Dien Chau, said that because he loves peach blossoms, every year he comes here to choose a satisfactory peach tree to display on Tet. This year, all the peach gardens are beautiful and bloom on time, so it is easy to choose. To have a satisfactory peach tree, you only need 600,000 - 800,000 VND, but because my house has a large terrain, I chose a tree with a price of 2 million VND.

According to Mr. Tran Khanh Tung - Chairman of Minh Thanh Commune People's Committee, this year's Tet holiday, Minh Thanh peach village soldmarketTens of thousands of peach trees, on an area of ​​about 70 hectares. Due to the sunny weather, customers from everywhere come to buy busily, most of them drive trucks to buy for personal use, there are also traders who buy the whole garden to sell.

"Peach growers are busy taking care of each peach tree all year round so that it grows well, and the time before Tet is the harvest time. Therefore, the year when peaches bud on time, they sell a lot and have a high harvest, and vice versa, the year when peaches bloom early before Tet, they lose their harvest. Compared to agricultural production in the commune, growing peaches for Tet brings in higher income than other crops," said Mr. Tran Khanh Tung.

Other peach villages in Yen Thanh district such as Kim Thanh, Tang Thanh... are also bustling with visitors this time. Mr. Le Van Hong - Head of the District's Department of Agriculture and Rural DevelopmentYen Thanhsaid that this year, Yen Thanh has about 120 hectares of concentrated peach trees, most of which are in Minh Thanh and Kim Thanh communes. Because this is a peach variety that grows naturally, not in a shape, customers love it. Therefore, near Tet, customers from many places come to peach villages more and more.

However, in general, this year, although the peach blossoms are beautiful and bloom right on Tet, the selling price is lower than last year, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to Mr. Le Van Hong, currently people in some communes such as Quang Thanh, Trung Thanh, Tay Thanh... have started growing peach trees to sell for Tet. It is expected that next year the peach acreage in Yen Thanh will increase to about 200 hectares./.
