(Baonghean) -Khe Ran Village, Bong Khe Commune (Con Cuong - Nghe An) nestles on the left bank of the Lam River, behind it is a mountain range that has nurtured and protected the village for generations. Under the lush green trees, the stilt houses appear and disappear, evoking a peaceful, prosperous scene...

Khe Ran Village is the first unit recognized as the Cultural Village of the district (1998). In the past 10 years, the village has had no one violating the family planning policy; the Thai Folk Song Club of the village was established and operated effectively, contributing to the preservation of traditional cultural identity.

The stilt houses make up the ancient look of Khe Ran village.

Most of the roads in the village are concreted, the roads are clean and beautiful. Khe Ran village currently has 153 households/656 people, 100% of the village's residents are Thai ethnic group. The main source of income for the people is from agricultural production (farming and growing crops on the riverbanks), recently there is additional income from planting raw material forests. Due to hard work and knowing how to do business, for many years now, most of the people in Khe Ran have had a comfortable life, their children have been able to study properly. Every year, the village has about 3-5 students passing the university and college entrance exams, especially this year, someone in the village received a scholarship to study abroad in the Russian Federation. For many years, Khe Ran has been recognized as a "clean" area in terms of social evils.

When asked about the "secret" to maintaining stability and socio-economic development, ensuring security and order as well as preserving and promoting cultural identity, Mr. Lo Van Thang, village chief, said: "That is the result of close coordination between associations and organizations. Associations and organizations regularly meet periodically to review and evaluate their activities, thereby promptly praising active members and reminding and correcting those who show signs of deviation; at the same time, mobilizing the establishment of guilds to help each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. Mutual love, mutual affection and community sentiment are thus increasingly strong."
