Leaders of Hanoi National University work with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 15, Comrade Phung Xuan Nha - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Director of Hanoi National University and the working delegation had a working session with the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to contribute comments on the Draft Political Report to be submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress for the 2015 - 2020 term and to discuss cooperation in education and training between Hanoi National University and Nghe An province.

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Quang Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and universities in the province.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Provincial Party Secretary introduced to the delegation the socio-economic development situation of Nghe An in the past term.

At the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ho Duc Phoc discussed with the delegation some basic features of Nghe An's socio-economic development in the past term. In particular, the economic growth rate during the term reached over 7.89%, higher than the national average, the poverty rate decreased, investment attraction was highly effective, especially many key projects were invested. In addition, the fields of culture, education, social security, national defense and security were also given attention.

Associate Professor, Doctor Phung Xuan Nha - Director of Hanoi National University gave his opinion on the draft Political Report of Nghe An province and agreed with the detailed tasks that Nghe An has built. That shows the centrality, key points as well as the connectivity in Nghe An's economic development in the coming period.

Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son - Principal of the University of Economics - National University said: In the Draft Congress, Nghe An needs to reconsider the targets to have the ability to implement and have higher logic.

After carefully studying the documents, the Director of Hanoi National University and the members of the delegation gave many comments on the Draft Political Report of the 18th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee (term 2015 - 2020). In particular, focusing on analyzing 4 main issues, which are: development orientation and economic development drivers based on the province's breakthrough sectors/fields; application of science and technology to increase the value of products; human resource development; education and training development, with special attention to enhancing the capacity of the province's education and training institutions.

The opinions have gone into in-depth analysis of the potentials, strengths of some industries, fields and limitations of Nghe An in the past time. On that basis, it is hoped that Nghe An will consider in building indicators to develop Nghe An into a center of finance, trade, tourism, education and training, science and technology, health, culture, sports, industry and high technology of the North Central region.
