Party and State leaders offer incense to commemorate Uncle Ho
On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death (September 2, 1969 - September 2, 2014), which falls on the 21st day of the 7th lunar month, and also the 45th anniversary of the implementation of his Testament, on the morning of August 15, President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung visited and offered incense to commemorate Uncle Ho at House 67, part of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in the Presidential Palace grounds.

House 67 - named after the year it was built and completed (1967) is where President Ho Chi Minh worked. This house still retains intact memories associated with President Ho Chi Minh's life. This is also where Politburo meetings often took place during the fiercest years of the US imperialists' war of destruction in the North.
House 67 was also the place where Uncle Ho received leaders from the Central Office of the South and Military Region V for meetings and work, and it was also the place where he recuperated and breathed his last.
Over the past 45 years, the entire Party, people and army of Vietnam have made great efforts to follow his teachings. Vietnam has achieved great achievements; constantly innovated and developed comprehensively for the goal of "A rich people, a strong country, a democratic, equitable and civilized society."
Respectfully bowing before the spirit of the great President Ho Chi Minh, President Truong Tan Sang, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, on behalf of soldiers and people nationwide, expressed deep emotion and remembered the great contributions of beloved Uncle Ho.
On this occasion, President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also praised the staff of the Relic Site for successfully completing the task of preserving and protecting intact the artifacts associated with Uncle Ho's life.
President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also reminded the staff of the relic site to continue to make every effort to preserve and maintain intact the relics for future generations, and to do a good job of introducing the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh to the people of the whole country and international friends and tourists.
Every year, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace welcomes millions of visitors to visit and pay their respects to Uncle Ho at his mausoleum. This shows the special and deep affection of compatriots, friends and international tourists for Uncle Ho.
Also this morning, a delegation of the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee led by Mr. Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, representing soldiers and people of the capital, also came to offer incense and pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at House 67./.
