Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on April 30
Leaders and former leaders of the Party and State laid wreaths, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and commemorated heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
The delegation of Party and State leaders visiting the Mausoleum this morning included: General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and many leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, ministries, departments and branches.
The delegation's wreath bore the words "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".
Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude and sincere respect for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and construction of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.




In a solemn atmosphere, Party and State leaders expressed their gratitude to the nation's outstanding sons who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people.
The delegation's wreath bore the words "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".


In the article "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one", General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the moment the liberation flag flew on the roof of the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975 went down in national history as a momentous event - the day the South was completely liberated, the country was unified, and the country was reunited. It was not only a great victory of the Vietnamese people in the difficult and arduous resistance war against the US to save the country, but also a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, of the will for independence, self-reliance and the strength of great national unity.
The victory on April 30, 1975 not only marked the end of the longest and most fierce war in modern Vietnamese history, but was also a brilliant milestone in the nation's journey of building and defending the country.
It is the victory of faith, of the desire for independence, freedom and national unification; the victory of the strength of great national unity under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the victory of the truth "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom" and of the passionate patriotism, the fighting will, and the eternal indomitability of the Vietnamese people, of progressive forces and peace-loving people in the world.
On the same morning, delegations from the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense; Central Public Security Party Committee, Ministry of Public Security; Hanoi City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front also came to lay wreaths and visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, lay wreaths and commemorate heroic martyrs at the Memorial.
