Anh Son district leaders inspect the construction of new rural areas in Hung Son commune

Comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee and the working delegation visited and inspected rural traffic routes and social welfare works such as schools, medical stations, markets, and basic construction works under construction in Hung Son commune.

Hung Son is a commune on the west bank of the Lam River, 12 km from the center of Anh Son district. The commune has a relatively large natural land area of ​​2092.9 ha; has 885 households and 3990 people, the number of Catholics is 1335 people, accounting for 33% of the population. Although the commune has an unfavorable geographical location, in recent years, the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Son commune have made efforts to achieve many important results.

In the past 3 years, the economic growth rate of the commune has always been at 14%, the average income in 2013 was 26 million VND/person, the poverty rate decreased by 2% annually. In 2013, the commune had 4.8% poor households. Up to now, Hung Son has achieved 9 criteria in building new rural areas. Culture and society have many positive changes, the work of building the Party and the political system has achieved many important results. In 2014, Hung Son commune strives to complete 4 more criteria on building new rural areas. Directing farmers in the commune to continue converting land, increasing efficiency and productivity per unit area, associated with developing household garden economy.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, praised the efforts and results that Hung Son has achieved in the past time. In the coming time, Hung Son needs to focus on environmental sanitation, pay attention to vocational training for local workers, encourage the development of economic models associated with promoting local potential, attract businesses to invest in the area, actively promote propaganda to raise people's awareness of building new rural areas, local officials must regularly participate in activities at Party cells, strengthen discipline and administrative discipline, to help Hung Son complete the national goal of building new rural areas on schedule.
