Yen Thanh district leaders congratulate players Van Duc and Xuan Manh
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 1, leaders of Yen Thanh district visited the private homes of two players Phan Van Duc (Tang Thanh commune) and Pham Xuan Manh (Minh Thanh commune) to present flowers and congratulate them.
Two players Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh were discovered as football talents from the District Youth Football Tournament and Nghe An Newspaper Cup in the 2006-2007 seasons and achieved many high achievements in the Yen Thanh team, then were recruited to Song Lam Nghe An Club.

At the recent 2018 U23 Asian Championship held in China, Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh were typical factors of the Vietnam U23 team, contributing to making history of Vietnamese football, bringing glory to the Fatherland.

At the meeting, the district leaders congratulated and acknowledged the excellent achievements of the U23 team in general and the efforts of the two players in particular. They also hoped that in the coming time, the players would continuously study and practice, maintain their will and courage in competition as well as in daily life; continue to make many contributions in the colors of Song Lam Nghe An Club and the national team, meet the expectations of fans, and be worthy of the pride of being the children of Yen Thanh rice land.
Previously, on the afternoon of January 27, before the final match between Vietnam U23 team and Uzbekistan U23 team, Yen Thanh district also organized a ceremony to present flowers and certificates of merit from the Chairman of the District People's Committee to the families of the two players Van Duc and Xuan Manh./.
