The US leader is expected to urge Beijing to do more to rein in North Korea's nuclear weapons program and address the trade imbalance between the world's two largest economies.
Speaking to reporters, a senior White House official who spoke on condition of anonymity said ways to denuclearize North Korea and address the “serious imbalance” in the US-China economic relationship would be top of the agenda at the summit between the two sides on November 9.
According to the official, President Trump will urge President Xi to fully implement United Nations (UN) sanctions resolutions on North Korea and cut off financial supplies to Pyongyang, as part of a coordinated global pressure to force North Korea to stop its missile and nuclear tests and engage in credible discussions on denuclearization.

On the economic front, the US leader will urge President Xi to treat US businesses “fairly and reciprocally” and stop “exploitative” trade and investment practices, moving toward a balanced and sustainable relationship, the official said.
China is the third stop of the US President's tour of five Asian countries. This is the first trip by a Republican President since taking office earlier this year./.
