Present in Hoang Mai town, comrades Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nghia Hieu, Chief of the Standing Office of the Provincial Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant agencies and departments directly directed the rescue of people from flooded areas. Currently, the flood has cut off areas of Hoang Mai town, on National Highway 1A, thousands of cars are waiting because they cannot pass.
Comrade Dinh Viet Hong directed the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town and relevant agencies to try their best to find a way to get people out of the flooded area, absolutely not to let any human losses occur. Currently, the most lacking thing in Hoang Mai is small boats to go to each house to rescue people. Currently, many high-speed boats are present in Hoang Mai but cannot reach people's houses and cannot meet the demand. Currently, the provincial Flood and Storm Prevention Command is mobilizing small boats of fishermen from Quynh Lap, Quynh Di, and Quynh Phuong communes to bring them to the flooded area to rescue people.

Since the morning of October 1, the phone of the Nghe An Flood and Storm Prevention Command has been ringing because people are calling for help. In the upstream areas such as Quynh Trang, Tan Thang, Quynh Thang, many houses are flooded up to the roof, many households have to climb on the roof to wait for rescue. In the downstream area, hundreds of households around the leprosy hospital and the area of Hamlet 15 Quynh Thien, Area B of Hoang Mai Cement Collective, where many children are, are flooded more than 2 meters deep. Currently, rescue boats cannot reach them.
Up to this point, floods in Hoang Mai have caused 2 people in Quynh Thien ward to go missing.

Flooding in Hoang Mai town
Comrade Dinh Viet Hong affirmed that it is still raining, the situation is tense so at all costs we must ensure the safety of the people. Currently, the province has dispatched 10 emergency rescue boats to Hoang Mai to help people with rescue and relief.
Currently, the rain has not stopped, the water level has not shown any signs of decreasing. Rescue forces have brought 500 out of 3,000 households to safety. Currently, the entire town of Hoang Mai has lost power.
