Provincial leaders congratulate Military Hospital 4 and Squadron 137

(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, on December 19, comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and his delegation visited Military Hospital 4 and Squadron 137.

Accompanying the delegation were Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Quang, Deputy Head of Logistics of the Provincial Military Command, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee.

At Military Hospital 4, the delegation listened to Colonel Hoang Nghia Nam, Director of the hospital, report on the unit's activities in recent years. Military Hospital 4 is the final hospital of the Military Region, with the task of admitting, providing emergency care and treatment to the armed forces of the military region, military units stationed in the area, families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services to the revolution and local people.

Over the years, the hospital has always performed well its central political tasks as well as its social work. Currently, the hospital has 335 staff, doctors and nurses who are also soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army. The hospital has 200 beds, examining and treating about 300-400 patients every day. Each year, it examines and treats more than 50,000 patients, with a bed utilization rate of 200%.

Recognizing the efforts of the staff, soldiers, and doctors of Military Hospital 4 in the past time, comrade Dinh Viet Hong hoped that in the coming time, Military Hospital 4 will continue to promote its professional capacity, do a good job of medical examination and treatment for the armed forces and the people; promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers on the medical ethics front to serve patients better and better. At the end of the working session, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, comrade Dinh Viet Hong presented flowers and gifts to the hospital on the occasion of December 22.

Same day,Comrade Dinh Viet Hong and the delegation visited and presented gifts to Squadron 137 - Navy Command. As a unit under the Navy Command stationed in Nghe An, in recent years, in addition to the task of patrolling, controlling, and protecting the airspace and sea from Mong Cai to the North of Quang Binh province, officers and soldiers of Squadron 137 have also participated in search and rescue at sea. In 2013, the Squadron achieved the title of Outstanding Victory Unit of the entire military service.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong highly appreciated the achievements that the officers and soldiers of Squadron 137 have achieved in the work of protecting the sovereignty of the homeland's airspace and sea and hoped that in the coming time, the Squadron will have closer coordination with the locality, especially with the Provincial Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command in rescuing people whenever there are natural disasters, storms and floods. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hoped that the unit will continue to develop, become strong in all aspects, and successfully complete all assigned tasks. Nghe An locality will create the best conditions for the unit to complete its tasks.
