Dong Nai provincial leaders offer incense to commemorate Emperor Quang Trung and Great Poet Nguyen Du
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 21, a delegation from Dong Nai province led by comrade Nguyen Hong Linh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, offered flowers and incense at the Temple of Emperor Quang Trung, Vinh City (Nghe An).

Also attending were comrade Cao Tien Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.
Regarding the leaders of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and Vinh City.

Respectfully offering flowers and incense to the spirit of Emperor Quang Trung, the leaders of Dong Nai and Nghe An provinces expressed their deep gratitude for the great contributions of the national hero and military genius who defeated internal and external enemies, unified the country, and modernized the country at the end of the 18th century.
The life and career of Emperor Quang Trung is a shining example of patriotism, national spirit, self-reliance, and self-reliance in fighting foreign invaders and building the country. The spirit of Emperor Quang Trung contributed to creating the spirit, intelligence and bravery of the Vietnamese people.

On September 3, Mau Than year (October 1, 1788), Emperor Quang Trung issued an edict ordering the construction of Phuong Hoang Trung Do citadel in the land between Dung Quyet mountain and Ky Lan mountain to establish the capital for long-term planning. However, while the plan to move the capital was still unfinished, the hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue suddenly passed away.
To commemorate the great contributions of the cloth hero, to preserve the close bond between Emperor Quang Trung and his homeland Nghe An, on August 15, 2005, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee started construction of Emperor Quang Trung Temple and inaugurated it on May 7, 2008.

On the same afternoon, leaders of Dong Nai and Nghe An provinces offered incense at Nguyen Du Memorial Site, Tien Dien Town, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province. Also attending were comrade Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council.
The Great Poet Nguyen Du Relic Site is a complex of architectural works worshiping and commemorating Nguyen Du and other outstanding talents of the Nguyen family in Tien Dien.

Leaders of Dong Nai, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces visited and offered flowers and incense at the tomb and shrine of Great Poet Nguyen Du to commemorate and express gratitude for the great poet's great contributions to the nation's culture.
Nguyen Du (1765 - 1820), whose given name was To Nhu, and whose pen name was Thanh Hien, was originally from Tien Dien village, Nghi Xuan district, Duc Quang prefecture, Nghe An town (now Ha Tinh province) but was born and raised in Thang Long (present-day Hanoi). From a young age, Nguyen Du had deeply absorbed the cultural quintessence of all three regions: Nghe An, Thang Long and Kinh Bac.

Nguyen Du grew up to be a learned and talented person, well-versed in Buddhism and versed in poetry and painting. The work The Tale of Kieu is a clear testament to Nguyen Du. This is a great contribution to the treasure of Vietnamese literature. Nguyen Du was honored by UNESCO as a world cultural celebrity.
