Provincial leaders attend the Great Unity Day in Nghia Phuc (Tan Ky)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 9, 2014, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province attended the ceremony to celebrate the National Great Unity Day and the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front at Keo hamlet, Nghia Phuc commune, Tan Ky district.

Keo hamlet, Nghia Phuc commune, has more than 90% of households being Tho ethnic people. In recent years, with the attention of the Party and State, along with promoting internal resources, the people in the hamlet have constantly competed to develop production and improve their material and spiritual life. People pay attention to preserving and promoting traditional cultural identity, actively implementing the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in residential areas associated with the new rural construction program. In the past time, the people in the hamlet have donated over 3,000m2 of land and contributed nearly 60 million VND to build social welfare works...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results that the people of Keo hamlet have achieved in the past time. At the same time, he hoped that the people would continue to carry out well the campaign "the whole people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" associated with the new rural construction program; strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism, help each other to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; prevent social evils, promote the mass movement to protect national security; well implement the criteria for building cultural families, cultural villages, civilized lifestyles in weddings, etc.; promote the patriotic emulation movement, successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, maintain national defense - security and build a strong political system.

On this occasion, comrade Dinh Viet Hong presented 5 gifts from the Provincial People's Committee to 5 poor households in Keo hamlet, Nghia Phuc commune and joined the people in planting trees at the Keo hamlet cultural house.

Also on this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged a family in difficult circumstances who had just received support from the District Fatherland Front Committee to build a Great Unity house.
