Provincial leaders met with the Liaison Committee of fellow countrymen and the Nghe An Business Association in Hanoi

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, September 22, in Hanoi, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Liaison Committee of fellow countrymen and the Nghe An Business Association in Hanoi to organize an annual meeting.

The meeting was chaired by members of the Liaison Committee of Nghe An Fellow Countrymen Association in Hanoi: Mr. Nguyen Manh Cam - Former Politburo member, former Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Liaison Committee of Fellow Countrymen; Mr. Chu Manh - Former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; members of the Liaison Committee; Fellow Countrymen Association in Hanoi. Regarding the provincial leaders, there were comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Le Xuan Dai; Dinh Viet Hong, representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Committees, relevant provincial departments, branches and sectors, along with many comrades who are leaders of central ministries, branches and sectors, former central leaders, leaders of Nghe An enterprises currently working and living in the capital Hanoi.

At the beginning of the meeting, in the atmosphere of the historic September days, the Liaison Committee of the Nghe An Province Association together reviewed the traditions of the homeland, the Soviet tradition of 1930-1931, the Indomitable Hero; reviewed the life and career of General Secretary Le Hong Phong on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of his birth. On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reported on the main features of the province's socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of the year and the solutions and tasks for the remaining months of 2012.

In 2012, in the context of the world economy and the domestic economy facing difficulties, but with the attention of the Association of Nghe An compatriots and the Nghe An Business Association in Hanoi, in the first 9 months of the year, the province's socio-economic situation still had positive changes, with reasonable economic growth. Investment attraction in the first 9 months was quite good with the issuance of new investment certificates for 46 projects, including 43 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of 6,829.73 billion VND and 3 FDI projects with a registered capital of 33.5 million USD. In particular, a number of projects of Nghe An enterprises currently investing in the province have been really effective. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also mentioned a number of areas in which the province needs the contribution of investors in general and investors who are children of Nghe An in particular to help the province develop.

Next, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong - Member of the 13th National Assembly, Director of the Center for Research and Application of Vietnam Medical Advances, Chairman of the Nghe An Business Association in Hanoi reported on the activities of its members. The association was established in 2008 with 81 members, and now has 146 members participating in all economic, social, political, cultural and artistic fields. With the goal of turning to the homeland, in recent times, members have invested in many projects in many fields, contributing to job creation, increasing budget revenue and actively sharing in hunger eradication, poverty reduction and social policy activities with the homeland.
