Leaders of Gifu province (Japan) visited and worked in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 13, at the invitation of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong, a working delegation from Gifu province (Japan) led by Mr. Hajime Furuta, Governor of the province, had a working session with Nghe An province.

Participants from Nghe An province included: Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of departments, branches and representatives of some companies in the province. From Gifu province, there were Mr. Hajime Furuta - Governor of the province, Mr. Katsutoshi Adachi, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with representatives of departments, branches and representatives of Japanese enterprises operating in Nghe An province.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc introduced some potentials and advantages of Nghe An to the working delegation.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Hajime Furuta - Governor of Gifu Prefecture thanked Nghe An Province for its warm welcome and expressed his desire to cooperate closely with Nghe An in the future. Although the number of Gifu enterprises investing in Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular is not much, it is hoped that these enterprises will be a bridge to further promote the cooperative relationship between the two provinces.

At the meeting, comrade Ho Duc Phoc introduced the socio-economic development situation of the province; some potentials and strengths of Nghe An, especially in the fields of education, training of high-quality human resources, abundant general human resources, healthy enough to work in Japan... At the same time, he expressed his expectation for investment cooperation between the two provinces, especially welcoming the investment of Gifu province in Nghe An. He also expected that in the coming time, the two provinces will strengthen cooperation in many fields such as agriculture, industrial production, trade and services.

Mr. Hajime Furuta, Governor of Gifu Prefecture, highly appreciated the potential for cooperation in many fields between Nghe An and Gifu provinces.

Next, Mr. Furuta introduced Gifu Prefecture's investment promotion activities and strategic overseas investment projects in recent years. The Governor of Gifu Prefecture also proposed specific cooperation with Nghe An Province in three areas, including technical assistance in the agricultural sector, investment promotion activities of the Japanese business community in general and the Gifu Prefecture business community in particular in Nghe An, and human resource training, especially human resources capable of using Japanese as a bridge for cooperation between the two sides.

The Governor of Gifu Prefecture also invited Nghe An Province to come to survey and promote in Gifu Prefecture in the near future.

The Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the importance of the opinions from the leaders of Gifu Prefecture, and emphasized the desire to cooperate with the neighboring province in the mentioned fields. He also proposed that the two provinces strengthen cooperation in the fields of tourism and agricultural cooperation, which are Nghe An's strengths, and hoped to soon have the opportunity to introduce and promote Nghe An's investment environment to Japanese small and medium enterprises.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the People's Committee, highly appreciated the effectiveness of the working session between the two provinces and proposed specific measures to soon and effectively implement in practice the contents discussed during the working session.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc thanked the Governor of Gifu Prefecture for his invitation to visit the neighboring province. On this occasion, the leaders of the two provinces also exchanged gifts of locally produced specialties, strengthening solidarity and developing together.

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc presented a landscape painting of Uncle Ho's hometown to the Governor of Gifu province.

In response to the sentiments of the leaders of Nghe An province, the Governor of Gifu province also presented a gift made by traditional artisans.

Mr. Hajime Furuta presented comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong with a traditional handmade gift brought from Gifu province.

Earlier that morning, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at Kim Lien Relic Site and the patriotic scholar Phan Boi Chau Relic Site.
