Provincial leaders work with economic groups in Hanoi
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 16, in Hanoi, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting with provincial leaders with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation on a number of issues related to the implementation of projects of the Groups and Corporations in Nghe An.
Also attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of a number of central ministries and branches; leaders of the above-mentioned corporations.
In the morning, the provincial leaders worked with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group on the 12-9 Petroleum Cement Plant project and the compensation, support and resettlement of the Hua Na hydropower project. After listening to the Group's representative leaders present the progress of the projects, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged the efforts to overcome difficulties in the past time to successfully complete a number of important tasks of the projects; at the same time, requested the Group to continue to arrange capital, speed up the construction progress, complete and put the projects into use according to the set schedule. Nghe An province will closely coordinate with the Group to promptly resolve related problems during the project implementation process.

Representatives of economic groups speak
In the afternoon, the provincial delegation worked with the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group on the implementation of the Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant project. The Quynh Lap 1 Thermal Power Plant project has two units, each with a capacity of 600MW, with a total investment of about 1.8 billion USD, and has been assigned by the Government to the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group as the investor. The detailed construction plan of the project is included in the detailed construction plan of Dong Hoi Industrial Park. During the working process, the Group agreed with the provincial leaders to submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Prime Minister to request adjustments to the project schedule in accordance with reality.
Working with Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation, the provincial leaders proposed to speed up the progress of Hoang Mai 2 Cement Plant projects and other projects in Dong Hoi Industrial Park such as Dong Hoi Port, Employee Housing Area, Non-Fire Materials Factory. Regarding the mechanism of borrowing cement to serve the construction of new rural areas, the Cement Corporation agreed with the province to implement it soon in the near future.
