Provincial leaders work with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Vietnam
On the morning of June 26, the working delegation of the Japan Trade and Investment Promotion Agency in Vietnam led by Mr. Hirokaza-Yamaoka - Chief Representative had a working session with the leaders of Nghe An province. Attending and working with the delegation were comrades Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches.

Working session scene
Before working with the provincial leaders, the JETRO delegation inspected the Southeast Economic Zone, viewed the actual planning at Tho Loc Economic Zone in Dien Chau district, and Nam Cam Industrial Park in Nghi Loc district.
At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, on behalf of the provincial leaders, thanked the JETRO delegation for taking the time to work and learn about the investment environment in Nghe An. This is a meaningful activity on friendship and cooperation after the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Week in Nghe An on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations.
Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien gave an overview of Nghe An province and the results of investment cooperation with Japan, special incentive policies to attract investment in the Southeast Economic Zone such as: exemption of land rent for 11 years, exemption of corporate income tax for 4 years and 50% reduction for the next 9 years, exemption of import tax on equipment that Vietnam cannot produce yet... and many other investment support policies.
Up to now, Nghe An has attracted 582 projects/107,117 billion VND of registered capital, of which, 546 are domestic investment projects, 36 are foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from 10 countries and territories. Currently, Japan has 4 investment projects in Nghe An, with large projects. The total investment capital of the 4 projects is 1.1 billion USD including Yabashy white limestone mining, garment export, infrastructure business of Hoang Mai I Industrial Park and the largest FDI project being implemented is Kobelco Company with a total investment capital of 1 billion USD.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Duc Phoc emphasized: Nghe An hopes that Japanese investors will come to Nghe An, the province will create the most favorable conditions for foreign investors, especially Japanese investors. Provincial leaders will always accompany investors to promptly resolve difficulties and problems in the process of project implementation; Create an open environment for investors to operate most effectively.

Mr. Hirokaza-Yamaoka, on behalf of the delegation, thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome and exchange. Through this working trip, he has somewhat better understood Nghe An. From the fact that a number of Japanese enterprises have been operating in Nghe An and are doing well and very favorably, Mr. Hirokaza-Yamaoka said that Nghe An is a potential investment environment for Japan but not yet known to many enterprises. He will introduce investors to learn about and invest in Nghe An.
The delegation had an exchange with reporters about the results of the working session.
