Provincial leaders work with the Forestry Planning Investigation Team

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 7, under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Duong, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the Forestry Planning Investigation Team to hear about the implementation of tasks in 2014 and deploy tasks in 2015. Also attending the meeting were representatives of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, Planning and Investment.

With the function and task of advising the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on state management of forest resources in the province, in recent times, the Forestry Planning Investigation Team has successfully completed the following tasks: Investigating, monitoring and evaluating the annual situation of forestry land use management in the province; being the investor of the project to review and adjust the planning of 3 types of forests; planning raw material areas for dairy cow farming projects, raw material projects for Nghe An wood processing factory; planning, protecting and developing forests in Nghe An province for the period 2008 - 2020; establishing a project to restore and develop coastal protection forests for the period 2010 to 2015, etc.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Duong acknowledged the results that the Forestry Planning Investigation Team has achieved in the past time, especially the good planning work that has created a basis for the management, protection and development of forest areas in the whole province. At the same time, he noted that Nghe An is a province with a large area of ​​forest and forestry land, so in order to focus on forestry development and planning of raw material areas as a lever for socio-economic development in remote areas, the Forestry Planning Investigation Team must focus on doing a good job of planning in each field assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture every year.

He also requested that in the coming time, the Delegation should focus on consolidating facilities and equipment as well as improving the qualifications and sense of responsibility of the staff, workers and civil servants; perform well the tasks of investigating and planning forests and forestry land; coordinate with functional branches, local authorities and units to resolve forest and forest land disputes, carry out forest inventory work well in remote areas; continue to exploit projects of international organizations to conduct forest and forestry land investigation and planning.

At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also acknowledged the recommendations of the Forestry Planning Investigation Team, assigned the relevant departments to include them in the plan to supplement capital for the unit to upgrade and repair the office building and document storage warehouse; agreed and approved the policy for the unit to purchase specialized cars or repair existing cars. Regarding the recommendation to streamline the payroll for the number of elderly and sick officials who cannot undertake the work of investigators and cannot be assigned other jobs, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the unit to review and make a list to report to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to have a reasonable solution in accordance with state regulations./.
